Welton Johnson
Nationally Certified Speed Agility & Quickness Trainer
High School Football Varsity Offensive Coordinator
I'm 33 and from Ashdown Arkansas. In high school I was a 3 sport athlete playing football, basketball, and running track. As a senior I helped lead our football team to its first semi finals appearance in school history. While playing basketball I helped lead our team to back to back to back state tournament appearances. During track I helped to bring our town its first ever state championship by winning the indoor state track meet as a junior. As a senior I helped lead my track team to an indoor and outdoor state championship.
I went on to attend college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University to play football. During my stay I was selected as a top 10 freshmen with a 4.0 GPA. On the field I was a 3 year starter while winning 2 conference championships. I graduated with 3.5 GPA and 2 Bachelors Degrees; one in Recreation and the other in Advertising with an emphasis on public relations.
After college I started a lifestyle and career of working in the sports, training, and fitness industry. I ran youth sports leagues for almost three years before transitioning into running a title boxing and an LA Fitness. I have been coaching youth sports and training for the past 8+ years. Currently I am the Head Middle School football coach and the Varsity Offensive Coordinator at Newman International Academy in Cedar Hill TX.
Since graduating from college I have still continued to play football at a very high level. I spent 2 years playing semi pro football "where I earned the nickname Ghost" before finally getting my first shot to play for a professional football team. During the 2016 CIF season I played wide receiver and returned kicks for the Mesquite Marshals professional indoor football team.
